Who is responsible for your data?

What is currently active?

TemplePC provides articles and a desk planner. This site has no user accounts, comments, newsletter or payment checkout. I do not currently run Google AdSense, Google Analytics or embedded YouTube players here.

Hosting and security

The site uses Cloudflare Pages and Cloudflare’s network and security services. When you connect, Cloudflare processes technical data, such as your IP address, requested page, time and browser information, to deliver content and protect the service. The basis is the legitimate interest in operating and securing the site (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). See the provider’s Cloudflare privacy policy for details.

Settings stored on your device

The site uses localStorage to save your theme under templepc.theme and your desk layout under templepc-desk-v1. These are settings for features you use; the planner code does not upload the saved configuration to a server. They remain in this browser until overwritten or cleared through the browser’s site-data settings. The site also works when storage is unavailable, but cannot remember these settings.

If you share a desk-layout link, its configuration is stored in the URL fragment after #. Anyone with that link can recreate the layout. Do not include private information. Cloudflare security features may also use cookies necessary to protect the connection.

Contact by email

If you write to [email protected], I process your email address, message and information you voluntarily provide to reply and handle the enquiry. The basis is the legitimate interest in correspondence (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)); discussions about entering a contract may also involve steps taken at your request before a contract (Article 6(1)(b)). Providing information is voluntary, but I cannot reply without a contact address.

Email is handled by Gmail (Google). I keep correspondence for as long as needed to handle the matter, and longer only where legal obligations or establishing, exercising or defending claims require it. Correspondence is not used to automatically enrol you in marketing lists.

Links to the TemplePC YouTube channel, Steam, itch.io and Thaluna lead to separate services. I do not send them your saved planner settings. Once you visit those sites, their own policies apply. Google explains its services in its privacy policy. Check app and purchase privacy information on the respective sites before installing or buying.

Planned Google AdSense advertising

AdSense is not active yet. Once enabled, Google and other vendors may use cookies for ads based on previous visits here or elsewhere. A consent message will identify purposes and vendors. Before personalised ads, you will be able to accept or refuse consent and change it later. Google settings: My Ad Center; details: Google’s use of data on partner sites.

Promotions for my own apps are labelled as self-promotion. They use local images and ordinary links, without external advertising scripts.

Service providers and data transfers

Cloudflare handles technical data and Google handles email. Data may be processed outside the European Economic Area. Providers explain transfer safeguards, including standard contractual clauses, in their policies. I also disclose data where legally required. I do not sell contact lists.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you may request access, correction, erasure or restriction of your personal data and, where applicable, portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Contact [email protected]. You may also complain to a supervisory authority; in Poland this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office.

I do not make decisions with legal effects concerning visitors solely through automated processing. You can clear localStorage yourself in your browser’s site-data settings without contacting me.

Policy changes

I will update this policy and the date above when the site’s operation changes. Before enabling ads or additional services, I will update the information about their operation and any required consent.
